Home Firearms Safety
The NRA New Shooter and Home Firearms Safety class exposes new gun owners to the fundamentals of firearm safety. This 60-minute class is a great introduction to the important safety aspects of owning a firearm.

Distance learning with an instructor, via Zoom has been authorized for the NRA New Shooter and Home Firearms Safety. This is a 60-minute presentation for those looking to learn firearm Safety, safe storage and other knowledge for a new gun owner.

NRA Basic Rifle
Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting.

This course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.

USCCA AR-15 Fundamentals
The USCCA’s AR-15 Fundamentals Training Classes are practical! This is not like the high-intensity, high-speed, fad AR-15 training you see on social media. These rifle training classes are actually focused on and effective for civilian use. The goal isn’t to train you like your part of an elite tactical unit, rather, this training provides instruction that builds a strong foundation for real-world self-defense regardless of experience level. This course is centered around the new/inexperienced owner of the AR-15 platform. Topics include: Fundamentals of Rifle Marksmanship, Verifying Zero on an AR-15, Accessorizing and Maintaining an AR-15, Efficient Operation of a Rifle and How to recognize your capabilities with an AR-15. This training is broken out into 2 separate modules. Each module is 8hrs. Module 1 has 1/2 day of classroom, then 1/2 day of live-fire training. Module 2 is a quick classroom review of module 1, then remaining time is live-fire training. Students must supply: a well-functioning AR-15 with a 50yard zero sighting system (iron sights and LPVO are acceptable, but a holographic or red-dot are highly recommended. No long-range spotting/hunting scope), Single point or 2-point sling with the appropriate sling mounts (No shoulder/hunting slings), Two 30 round magazines and someway to retain the magazines on your body (Back pockets can work, but a magazine holster is recommended), sturdy belt to support weight of loaded magazines, brimmed hat, eye protection, ear protection (electronic ears strongly encouraged), knee pads, clothing suitable for outdoor range training (you will get dirty and we train in the rain) and factory ammunition (Module 1 - 200rds, Module 2 - 300 rounds. No steel core).

Defensive Carbine
Teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude to use an AR-15 ethically, responsibly, and with confidence in a defensive situation.

The Defensive Carbine Course will focus on the techniques needed to develop a defensive mindset. The goal of the course will be to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to use an AR-15 ethically, responsibly, and with confidence. As a result of participating in this course, the student will be able to explain and demonstrate the following: How to apply the Rules for Safe Gun Handling when using an AR-15 for defensive measures, basic principles of deploying an AR-15, the difference between cover and concealment, storage and access, levels of mental awareness, developing the proper mindset when using an AR-15 for personal protection, clearing common stoppages, , and more.
Defensive Carbine starts with time in the classroom covering and reviewing defensive topics. Upon successful completion of deployment training, you will transition to the range for continued education of defensive skills. three-hours classroom, and four-hours of live fire range exercises, utilizing approximately 400 rounds of ammunition.
Note: You must have basic AR-15 knowledge and be able to demonstrate how to safely use your firearm. This is an intermediate level training class. You should already be proficient and safe with your rifle, prior to taking this class. It is highly recommended you attend the AR-15 Fundamentals training prior to attending this advanced course.

Students unable to demonstrate safe gun handling, and manipulation, will be ejected without refund.
